Our Founder
Battle Born Pest Control was founded by Charles Carmichael, a Nevada native with a deep commitment to honest work and dependable service. With years of hands-on experience in both structural and landscape pest management, Charles built the company on a simple but powerful idea: do the job right, treat people well, and stand by your word.
What started as a small local business has grown through trust, reputation, and results — with a strong presence in both Elko and Reno. Charles remains actively involved in the day-to-day support of his team, making sure every customer gets the kind of service he’d expect for his own family. His leadership has helped shape a company culture that values expertise, integrity, and putting people first
Matthew Gleason - Partner
Matthew leads our Reno branch with a passion for both pest control and plant health. An ISA Certified Arborist® with years of hands-on experience in arboriculture and horticulture, Matthew brings a rare level of knowledge to the field — especially when it comes to diagnosing and treating tree and plant issues.
His background began in the garden with his grandfather and grew into a career focused on helping landscapes and communities thrive. Matthew is also fully licensed through the Nevada Department of Agriculture and is skilled in all aspects of general pest control. Whether he's inspecting a home, treating a tree, or helping a customer understand their options, Matthew is known for his clear communication, thoughtful approach, and commitment to doing the job right.
